Sheltering in doorways in major cities all across the United Kingdom, the number of women rough sleeping is growing at a truly alarming rate. And for them, life on the streets is much tougher than it is for men: one in four women will report a sexual assault on the street in any one year; they're physically and verbally abused by others, they have particular personal hygiene needs that make day-to-day existence so much harder.
