Come into the wild of West Stow Country Park and join bushcrafter John Stewart. Learn to light good fires, carve spoons and much more! A great opportunity to spend the day in our woodland base camp with experienced bushcraft tutor John Stewart. Learn everything there is to know about fire lighting: good locations, finding and using the right wood and natural materials...getting a spark and how to keep a good fire going. Bring some simple food to cook and then use the wooden spoon you’ve made to try to eat it! You will get to take home the spoons you’ve made and your own natural fire-lighting kit. Please wear suitable clothing for the weather and bring sunscreen. Bring a suitable sharp knife if you have one. Bring your lunch and drinks...there will be a chance to cook your own simple food in the fire pit, so bring a pan for your sausages too!
