Help create a choir from scratch in a single morning!

Do you love to sing and fancy a challenge? Then help to build a brand new choir from scratch in just one morning to perform at Melton Village Fete on the afternoon of Saturday 14th July. Everyone is welcome whether you’ve only ever sung in the bath or are a regular choir member. There are no auditions, no sheet music, and no solo singing. Woodbridge choirmaster Chris Rowbury will have you rolling in the aisles with his anarchic brand of humour and raising the rafters with wonderful harmonies. Chris will teach all the songs by ear without an instrument or backing track in sight. Meet at Melton Primary School, Woodbridge IP12 1PG for an 11am start on Saturday 14th July (doors open 10.45am) to learn the songs. Then a short performance at Melton Village Fete on Melton Playing fields at 2.30pm the same afternoon. There will be a small charge of £10 to cover costs. Pay on the day or via Chris’s website: www.chrisrowbury.com Choir in a morning is open to anyone from 16 to 80. No experience is required as all songs will be taught by ear in the traditional way. Having wowed audiences in March with a choir from scratch performance by 56 local singers, let's get the whole of Woodbridge singing – the more the merrier! Chris Rowbury has 30 years’ experience as a patient, charismatic teacher with a relaxed style laced with plenty of humour. Based in Woodbridge, he founded the local community choir The OK Chorale in 2011. Chris will get you singing in wonderful harmony in a matter of minutes!
